We see each scan job as a custom scan job. We always ask enough questions about where you want to go with the scan so we can be sure you will get what you need. We always color correct, sharpen, and dust spot each scan. We will archive it to a disk, upload to an FTP site, or email it to you. Color correct proofs are always available.

FILM SCANS are done on our high resolution Imacon "virtual drum" scanner. These film scanners have become the professional standard for photographers worldwide; in fact Imacon bought Hasselblad recently and merged the companies under the Hasselblad name. We scan transparency or negative film at resolutions up to 6300 dpi, and film sizes up to 5x7.

FLAT ART SCANS (when appropriate) are done on an 800dpi tabloid+ size professional flatbed scanner with focusable scanning area and single direction cold cathode light source. For larger images, see the Art Capture page.

CUSTOM STUFF
We are always willing to customize our scan services. We can offer 16bit scans, raw scans (without dust spotting and clean cropping), and sometimes gang scans. We can do oversized flat art scans on the flatbed scanner in several pieces and "stitch" them together to save you the expense of the larger format Art Capture. We are especially skilled at "de-screening" art that must be used from a previously printed source.
